In this role, you will be embedded within the HR team, acting as a key coordinator for the internship, while gaining a front-row seat to how a global trading firm operates. You will serve as a foundational support layer, assisting with logistics, ensuring program materials are polished, and acting as a helpful point of contact for fellow interns. This role is designed for someone who enjoys the "behind-the-scenes" work that makes a program successful and is interested in transitioning into a full-time HR career after graduation.

Requirements

  • Aspirations in HR: A clear desire to build a career in Human Resources, People Operations, or Talent Management within a high-performance corporate environment.
  • Passion for the Employee Journey: An interest in understanding the "mechanics" of a successful internship—from initial onboarding to final performance reviews.
  • Organizational Strength: You are someone who lives by your calendar and to-do lists; you enjoy keeping things on track and organized.
  • A Keen Eye for Detail: You catch the small things, such asa misspelled word, a crooked logo, or an outdated date—before anyone else does.
  • Reliability: You are a dependable "team player" who follows through on tasks and isn't afraid to ask for clarification to get the job done right.
  • Professional Communication: You have clear written and verbal communication skills and can represent the HR team professionally to your peers.
  • Discretion: You understand the sensitive nature of HR work and can be trusted to handle confidential information with the utmost maturity.
  • Software Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint for deck updates and Excel for basic data tracking and lists.

Responsibilities

  • Program Coordination: Assist HR and Recruiting with the day-to-day logistics of the internship, including scheduling speaker sessions, tracking attendance, and organizing social events.
  • Internal Communications Support: Serve as a friendly "go-between" for the HR team and the intern class, helping to distribute information and gather peer feedback.
  • Quality Control: Review and proofread internal slide decks, manuals, and communications for consistency, formatting, and typos to ensure all program materials meet our professional standards.
  • HR Content & Research: Assist with side projects focused on the employee experience, such as researching industry trends in benefits, wellness perks, and office culture to help keep our offerings competitive.
  • HR Rotations & Shadowing: Beyond program support, you will have the opportunity to shadow members of the People Ops and Recruiting teams to learn about onboarding, candidate experience, and HR systems.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the HR team with data entry, and other ad-hoc projects that keep the department running efficiently.

Benefits

  • Career Path: This internship is a primary pipeline for our permanent HR and Recruiting teams.
  • Comprehensive Exposure: You won't just see one side of HR; you’ll see how everything from recruiting to daily operations connects.
  • Mentorship: Work closely with experienced HR professionals who are invested in your growth and development.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a supportive team that values precision, curiosity, and helping one another succeed.
