About The Position

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager will lead HR initiatives for the Fowlerville plant, serving as a trusted partner to coach and guide leaders through employee-related situations and challenges. They will also shape the site’s people strategy by developing and recommending effective HR plans and procedures that support all employees and drive a positive workplace culture. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in human resources including employment, training, benefits, and wage and salary administration, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience with maintaining positive climate
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment including flexible shift models.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing all department activities while contributing to the development of goals, objectives, and HR systems.
  • Leading designated project activities and prepares the HR operations budget.
  • Managing full-cycle recruitment for exempt, nonexempt, student, and temporary employees; conducts new hire orientations and supports career progression and relations.
  • Preparing separation reports and documentation; conducts exit interviews to identify trends and root causes.
  • Collaborating closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Developing programs that support positive employee engagement, ensuring legal compliance, and guiding leaders on policies related to equal employment, compensation, benefits, health, safety, and training.
  • Driving employee involvement, leading change initiatives, supporting suggestion programs, and promoting safety and health across the plant.
  • Managing affirmative action programs, maintaining regulatory reports (including annual EEO-1), administering the performance review process, and performs other duties as needed.
