The HR Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Human Resources function by executing strategic HR initiatives and delivering exceptional employee service. This dual function role is responsible for coordinating and supporting special HR projects while also providing Tier 1 & 2 HR support through the company’s internal ticketing system. Committed to delivering high-quality service and ensuring timely execution of HR priorities. The HR Operations Specialist partners with cross-functional teams and HR leadership to streamline processes, manage project logistics, and support HR goals across the organization. The HR Operations Specialist helps maintain efficient HR workflows, improve employee experience, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of HR experience or related field, preferably with exposure to both project coordination and employee support
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, employment law basics and common HR Systems (Workday, ADP, Oracle HCM)
  • Experience using a ticketing platform
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office Suite certification preferred
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP,PH) preferred
  • Project Management or Process Improvement certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate HR projects such as policy rollouts, HR system implementations, process improvements, and pilot programs.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform project outcomes and support HR operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor project timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare project documentation, presentations, tracking tools, and progress reports for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and recommend enhancements to systems or workflows.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries across multiple HR functions, including benefits, HR policies, learning, talent, compensation and onboarding.
  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 support through the company’s internal ticketing system, phone, and email channels, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of requests in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Escalate complex or high-level issues to the appropriate HR partners while maintaining detailed documentation of all inquiries and resolutions.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by providing clear guidance, support, and follow-up to internal stakeholders and employees.
