About The Position

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client, to recruit for an HR Operations Specialist to join their team. Our client is a publicly traded medical technology company focused on developing and commercializing regenerative medicine solutions that harness the body’s natural healing processes, particularly for chronic wound care. This role will play a critical part in supporting the employee lifecycle and ensuring HR operations run smoothly in a growing, innovative organization. As part of a small HR team, the HR Operations Specialist will have broad exposure across HR systems, payroll and benefits administration, recruiting support, compliance programs, and employee experience initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building efficient processes, improving systems, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of HR experience with strong exposure to HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Advanced experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use HR data to inform decisions
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently and influence stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in startup or early-stage product development environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement scalable HR workflows and tools to streamline processes such as onboarding, hiring, terminations, rewards, and timekeeping
  • Manage employee data within HR systems to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies and privacy regulations
  • Administer payroll and benefits programs, including vendor coordination, enrollments, deductions, tax withholdings, and invoicing
  • Manage compliance training programs and perform periodic audits to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training, engagement, leave administration, and offboarding
  • Provide recruiting support including drafting job descriptions, posting roles, and coordinating the onboarding process
  • Respond to employee policy or HR system questions and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues when needed
  • Assist with facilities coordination including vendor management and supporting general office operations
