What you will do: Lead all aspects of our HR department, including hiring and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Our ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive culture.

Requirements

  • Two year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Previous payroll processing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as a systems administrator and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
  • Paylocity experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Develops strategies to effectively recruit and hire for talent needed to support business objectives.
  • Maintains social media presence to assist in recruitment efforts.
  • Partners with local colleges, universities and recruiting firms to access additional pipelines of candidates.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Leads all compliance reporting requirements such as non-discrimination testing, OSHA 300, EEO-1, 5500 reporting, etc.
  • Drives a culture of safety.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Advises/coaches managers regarding employee relations matters.
  • Conducts investigations and follow up actions to ensure fairness and integrity in sensitive situations.
  • Conducts employee surveys to gauge engagement and opportunities to improve the work environment.
  • Champions employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Performance Management:
  • Develops and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Creates and maintains job descriptions to meet needs of organization.
  • Coaches managers on effective employee development strategies to drive performance.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
  • Assesses compensation and benefit trends and present recommendations to executive leadership for enhanced employee offerings.
  • Manages annual merit increase cycle.
  • Manages relationships with benefit providers to ensure programs meet needs of organization.
