The HR Manager role is a strategic and hands-on individual contributor position, supporting Atlas Energy Solutions’ Power and Corporate Functions. This role requires deep expertise in employee relations, compliance, and multi-state employment law, working closely with leadership to drive business outcomes, manage complex employee matters, and mitigate organizational risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations and compliance
  • Proven expertise in FMLA, workers’ compensation, and multi-state employment law
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
  • Experience handling sensitive and complex employee situations with sound judgment and discretion
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations
  • Strong business partnership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing coaching and guidance on organizational effectiveness, performance management, and workforce strategy
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, with a strong focus on risk mitigation
  • Own and administer FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and disability case management, ensuring compliance and consistency across multiple states
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and drive consistent application of HR policies and practices
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and change management initiatives
  • Oversee and execute core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and programs to support business objectives
  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including personnel files, I-9s, and HR data
