What You Will Do: As an HR Generalist, you will support the plant by managing key HR functions for hourly and salaried employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of plant HR experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing & Onboarding Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring hourly employees using the Workday Applicant Tracking System.
  • Assisting plant leadership with recruiting and hiring salaried employees.
  • Coordinating pre-hire screenings, including drug testing, physicals, and background checks.
  • Onboarding all new hires and ensuring a smooth orientation process.
  • Employee Relations Enforcing plant policies, employee handbook, and corporate policies.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns.
  • Conducting employee investigations and supporting supervisors with disciplinary actions.
  • Legal Compliance Maintaining applicant and employee records.
  • Administering FMLA, sick leave, and LTD processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Managing legal posting requirements.
  • Payroll & Accounts Payable Processing daily labor hours, vacations, and shift trades in Kronos and reconciling to the production schedule.
  • Verifying attendance, leaves, pay adjustments, and updating records accordingly.
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation through OnBase.
  • Preparing AP accruals and prepaid entries for month-end close.
  • General HR Responsibilities Providing HR-related training as needed.
  • Assisting with benefits administration.
  • Facilitating and coordinating employee events.
  • Communicating regularly with Plant Manager, Supervisors, and the Corporate HR team.
  • Supporting a positive plant culture and helping maintain employee engagement.
