About The Position

Position Summary: Bodorlaser Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist or HR Assistant to join our growing HR team. This role will support a wide range of HR functions across the U.S. and Canada and work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Prior experience in Human Resources or a related function
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal)
  • Working knowledge of U.S. (and preferably Canadian) employment laws and HR practices
  • Familiarity with HR processes including benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to support cross-time-zone communication with global teams (including China)
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll and employee benefits programs for U.S. and Canadian employees in coordination with internal teams and vendors
  • Manage employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Support recruitment efforts, including sourcing strategies, job postings, and participation in job fairs and community events
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes, including new hire orientation and documentation
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools
  • Support the development and coordination of employee training and development programs
  • Assist with employment-based immigration and visa administration
  • Support with the review and update of HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience
  • Support performance management and organizational initiatives as needed
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
