About The Position

The HR Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, team member relations, HR compliance, benefits support, and performance processes. This role partners closely with leadership and operations to help ensure team members have what they need to succeed and know they are supported.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience (generalist, HR coordinator, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and employment compliance
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or multi-site operations
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity, Paycom, ADP, UKG, etc.)
  • Knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations
  • SHRM-CP or PHR (or working toward certification)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR questions from team members and leaders
  • Support HR processes including status changes, documentation, and personnel files through Paylocity and other systems.
  • Help maintain HR systems and accurate employee records
  • Support consistent application of policies and procedures
  • Job postings with recruiting, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and hiring steps
  • Assist with background checks, pre-employment requirements, and offer letters
  • Lead or support onboarding, orientation, and new team member setup
  • Ensure onboarding is organized, compliant, and welcoming helping teach our culture day one.
  • Assist with team member concerns, coaching documentation, and investigations as needed
  • Support performance management processes and communication
  • Help promote a positive workplace culture and strong internal communication
  • Partner with leadership to reinforce values and expectations
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with audits, HR reporting, and recordkeeping requirements
  • Help update HR policies and our Guidebook to ensure the team is well informed.
  • Assist recruiting with training logistics (safety, onboarding modules, certifications, etc)
  • Track completion and support follow-up with leaders
  • Coordinate leadership and other ongoing training opportunities for team members.
