About The Position

THE HR GENERALIST PROVIDES BROAD-BASED SUPPORT ACROSS CORE HUMAN RESOURCES FUNCTIONS, ENSURING CONSISTENCY, ACCURACY, AND COMPLIANCE WITHIN EMPLOYEE RECORDS, INTERNAL PROCESSES, AND HR SYSTEMS. THIS ROLE SERVES AS A KEY RESOURCE FOR STAFF QUESTIONS RELATED TO POLICIES AND GENERAL HR MATTERS, WHILE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION AND OPERATIONAL EFFORTS ACROSS ALL HR CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE. THE HR GENERALIST HELPS MAINTAIN ACCURATE EMPLOYEE DATA, ASSISTS WITH AUDITS, AND CONTRIBUTES TO EMPLOYEE PROGRAMS AND DEPARTMENT-WIDE INITIATIVES. THIS POSITION WORKS COLLABORATIVELY ACROSS THE HR TEAM, OFFERING CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT AS NEEDED, AND IS EXPECTED TO MANAGE SENSITIVE INFORMATION WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF CONFIDENTIALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional HR experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of HR generalist practices.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Comfortable navigating HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, etc.).
  • Experience with ADP, LMS, and leave management systems.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs, including pension plans

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to employees and managers by interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Analyze HR data, trends, and processes to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and support informed decision-making.
  • Audit and maintain employee data within HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of required training, acknowledgments, and compliance-related activities; follow up as needed to address gaps.
  • Administer and support performance management processes, including tracking evaluation cycles, troubleshooting system issues, and providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver training related to compliance, workplace policies, and employee development initiatives; evaluate effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
  • Support the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR team members and leadership on projects and initiatives requiring discretion, problem-solving, and independent judgment.
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information and organizational matters.
  • Provide cross-functional support across HR disciplines and serve as a resource in the absence of other team members.
