Role Summary We are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Generalist to support the Human Resources function for our US operations, assisting a team of approximately 35 employees across our Denver and Los Angeles offices. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a positive employee experience, supporting HR compliance, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day HR operations. Working closely with the Head of People & Culture (based in the UK) and collaborating with our global team, you’ll help nurture an inclusive, innovative and people‑focused culture. This position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (6 hours per day), based in our Denver office with occasional travel to our Los Angeles office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of US employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a technology business is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., HiBob, BambooHR) and ATS platforms (e.g., PinPoint, Greenhouse)
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing compliance with federal, state and local employment law
  • Maintain and update HR documentation, policies and the employee handbook
  • Manage and update employee personnel records in Hibob and Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, directing them appropriately
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and team‑building activities
  • Handle routine HR matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
  • Assist with learning and development coordination
  • Support documentation and tracking related to performance improvement plans
  • Assist with bi‑monthly payroll
  • Assist in administering benefits programs (health, dental, 401(k), PTO)
  • Liaise with the benefits broker and internal teams to support enrollment and questions
  • Liaise with the Retirement Advisor & Record Keeper and support 401k administration
  • Support full‑cycle recruitment, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Assist in sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high‑quality candidates
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a smooth new‑hire experience
  • Help promote an inclusive, respectful and collaborative workplace culture
  • Support initiatives that strengthen team cohesion and employee wellbeing
