About The Position

Under the direction of the CHRO, the Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR team and works closely with the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to deliver health system HR priorities and services to achieve business objectives while ensuring a high degree of consistency throughout the health system. They provide assistance and problem-solving services to the HRBP’s and business customers and effectively use technology to analyze data and create reports as needed. The HR Generalist participates in projects and mid/large scale initiatives in support of business customers and the HR department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or compensating years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years working in an HR role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems like Workday is strongly desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • SHRM Certification to be obtained within one year of hire into role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HRBP's and HR team on short and long-term projects in support of organizational needs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment law and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handles Employee relations inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Partner with key stakeholders within HR to create/run reports, conduct analysis, identify key trends and identify actionable items.
  • Suggest interventions and solutions to improve team processes, effectiveness or efficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
