About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This role serves as a key HR partner within the department, supporting the organization across talent acquisition, compliance, employee relations, and core HR operations. The HR Generalist operates with a high level of autonomy, sound judgment, and discretion. This individual partners closely with managers to navigate HR matters, provide guidance on day-to-day employee and workplace issues, and support consistent, compliant decision-making. The role plays an important part in fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. This position reports directly to the HR Manager.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong experience in recruiting, compliance, leave administration, and workers’ compensation, and HRIS administration
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR matters with discretion and sound judgment
  • Experience partnering with leaders across multiple departments
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Paylocity preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality, service, or seasonal workforce environments preferred
  • Experience supporting H-2B or similar workforce programs preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts in partnership with department leaders, including candidate evaluation, interviewing, and hiring recommendations
  • Guide hiring managers on candidate selection, compensation, and offer decisions
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality hiring process aligned with organizational standards
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator, who owns recruiting logistics and workflow execution, to ensure timely and efficient hiring processes
  • Support the H-2B seasonal workforce program by partnering on recruitment planning, timelines, documentation, and onboarding readiness
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, personal leaves, and return-to-work coordination
  • Manage and oversee complex leave cases, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and a positive team member experience
  • Coordinate with managers and employees on leave timelines, documentation, and workplace accommodations
  • Oversee and manage workers’ compensation cases, including claim reporting, coordination with carriers and brokers, and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with leadership to mitigate risk, monitor trends, and support a safe and compliant work environment
  • Serve as a point of escalation for benefits-related questions and support open enrollment and vendor coordination
  • Oversee HR processes and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness
  • Support employee relations matters at the direction of the HR Manager, including performance concerns, conflict resolution, corrective action, and investigations
  • Partner with leaders to provide guidance on performance management and workplace issues, ensuring alignment with company policies and best practices
  • Review and resolve complex or sensitive HR issues, escalating risk as appropriate
  • Support reporting requirements and compliance initiatives
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for Paylocity, overseeing system functionality, data accuracy, and reporting
  • Provide oversight and guidance on employee data management, including job changes, compensation actions, and payroll-related updates
  • Review and approve complex or sensitive transactions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with policy and approvals
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator to maintain data integrity and consistency across systems
  • Leverage HR data and reporting to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline HR workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance the team member experience
  • Partner with the HR Manager on special projects and strategic initiatives
  • Support training, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to HR Coordinator or junior team members as applicable
