The position is based at our headquarters in Northbrook, IL reporting to the Sr. HR Manager for the Corporate team. Overall Purpose: The Human Resource Generalist is a hands-on position that will play a critical role in driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives, fostering a positive employee experience and supporting organizational growth. Strategic HR Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, aligning HR strategies with business priorities. Partner with leaders to provide guidance in performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations. Manage HR and leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, STD and LTD. Support leaders throughout the recruitment process to attract and hire top talent. Oversee end-to-end payroll responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely approval of payroll data. Serve as the main point of contact for enterprise-wide vendors for facilities and background checks. Develop and implement processes and procedures for routine HR initiatives such as AAP filing, unemployment requests, and corporate communications. Assist in planning and executing engagement opportunities and cultural initiatives including corporate wide events like our town halls. Project Improvement Opportunities: Utilize data such as employee surveys to assist leaders in developing engagement strategies in support of maintaining or elevating IDEX’s position as an employer of choice Lead process improvement projects and change management initiatives related to onboarding, offboarding, HR operating rhythms (goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations), and other key HR processes. HR Metrics, Reporting & Compliance: Oversee HRIS data for the corporate team to ensure data accuracy. Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and surveys as requested.
