About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management in supporting designated projects. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a generalist HR role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Kronos and Oracle is preferred.
  • Experience with employee lifecycle management, compliance, and HR analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Administers, monitors, evaluates, and revises the compensation, and performance management programs as necessary.
  • Performs benefits administration to include reporting, enrollment, and education for employees.
  • Develops and maintains and files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations and writes and places advertisements.
  • Assists with employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assists in the design and execution of employee engagement programs and surveys
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
