About The Position

The HR Generalist supports the operations of the manufacturing facility by undertaking duties related to interviewing, hiring, benefits administration, employee engagement, and more. Successful candidates will have great communication and people skills, and feel passionate about creating and maintaining a positive culture through employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience in an HR role
  • Experience in recruiting processes
  • Experience using ADP for HR functions

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including answering phone calls and emails, speaking with employees, and coordinating meetings and events as needed.
  • Assist in all phases of employment including advertising, recruiting, interviewing, testing, placement of personnel, orientation programs, exit interviews, and unemployment compensation hearings.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits.
  • Serve as a source of contact with managers, employees, and legal counsel on human resource related matters.
  • Assist in creating, tracking, and issuing disciplinary documentation as needed.
  • Maintain and administer HR reports and records as required by state and federal laws.
  • Assist in the management of the timekeeping and payroll process.
  • Maintain and update personnel files.
  • Compute, post, and maintain reports related to employee attendance, discipline, and turnover.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the creation and management of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with the creation and management of communication plans and activities.
  • Actively engage in change management processes.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
