About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a key partner in supporting day-to-day HR operations. This role will provide hands-on HR support across multiple functional areas including, partnering with managers on day-to-day people matters, including policy interpretation, employee relations/investigations, attendance and conduct concerns, and performance management support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a regulated, high-growth aviation environment. This position will work closely with HR leadership, managers, and employees to ensure consistent application of policies, compliance with applicable employment regulations, and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Generalist or similar role
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • HR experience within aviation, transportation, logistics, or other highly regulated industries (preferred).
  • Experience supporting employee relations investigations and compliance matters (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and managers to provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations matters, workplace conduct, attendance, and performance concerns
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with employee relations matters including intake, fact gathering, documentation, investigations, and corrective action processes under the guidance of HR leadership
  • Support managers with performance management processes, including coaching conversations, documentation, performance improvement plans, and follow-up actions
  • Reinforce consistent and fair application of company policies across all departments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems and personnel files
  • Support HR programs and initiatives such as performance management, training, engagement, and policy updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Safety, Legal, Finance, Operations, and other business partners
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws by following established processes and escalating complex matters as appropriate
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives in partnership with HR leadership to support a positive and consistent employee experience
  • Additional duties as assigned
