About The Position

B&F Contracting is seeking a bilingual HR Generalist to support day to day human resources operations and serve as a key resource for employees and managers. This role supports a wide range of HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and driver management. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, field driven environment. This position plays an important role in supporting employees, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years of Human Resources experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting employee relations and manager coaching
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, field based, or multi location environments preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and HR support
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee issues and policy interpretation
  • Assist with employee investigations, documentation, and follow up
  • Support recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
  • Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment support
  • Process employee status changes and maintain employee records
  • Assist with leave administration including FMLA and other leave requests
  • Support performance review and compensation processes
  • Maintain job descriptions and organizational updates
  • Administer the company driver management program
  • Monitor driver eligibility and coordinate motor vehicle record checks
  • Track required driver training and follow up on completion
  • Maintain compliance documentation and HR records
  • Maintain employee data in HRIS and generate reports as needed
