HR Generalist
About The Position
B&F Contracting is seeking a bilingual HR Generalist to support day to day human resources operations and serve as a key resource for employees and managers. This role supports a wide range of HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and driver management. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, field driven environment. This position plays an important role in supporting employees, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- 3 plus years of Human Resources experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting employee relations and manager coaching
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Experience in construction, field based, or multi location environments preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and HR support
- Provide guidance to managers on employee issues and policy interpretation
- Assist with employee investigations, documentation, and follow up
- Support recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation
- Assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment support
- Process employee status changes and maintain employee records
- Assist with leave administration including FMLA and other leave requests
- Support performance review and compensation processes
- Maintain job descriptions and organizational updates
- Administer the company driver management program
- Monitor driver eligibility and coordinate motor vehicle record checks
- Track required driver training and follow up on completion
- Maintain compliance documentation and HR records
- Maintain employee data in HRIS and generate reports as needed
