About The Position

Position is in support of a 400+ person multi-site organization. This position works within a Human Resource (HR) group in support of various HR and related activities for all BHS sites.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience working in Human Resources; knowledge of HR practices, AA degree in related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of employees including senior leadership, as well as outside vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical and proactive thinking.
  • Ability to demonstrate/convey respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of all BHS staff and clients.
  • Ability to work as a team member in performing job duties and assignments.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, with good driving record.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Have full range of motion
  • Have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to file, operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, fax etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring HR is operating consistently with HR, Ethics and Compliance standards.
  • Stay apprised of employment related legislative and regulatory actions for company implications and recommend required changes.
  • Support HR and regulatory / compliance reporting requirements and efforts, preparing ongoing and ad hoc HR and compliance reports.
  • Assists in creating monthly tickler reports
  • Handles the separation process for terminations.
  • Maintains both electronic and paper files.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with staff at all BHS facilities as well as with vendors.
  • Maintains familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.
  • Attends meetings and participates in committees as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
