Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Extensive experience with payroll and timekeeping software/ systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of federal and regional local employment laws
  • Must be able to source/ research/ be aware of employment laws in multiple states
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, discretion, judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching and customer service skills; be able to develop and maintain trust in relationships at all levels
  • Ability to interact with, support, and positively influence the goals and direction of the executive team
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to follow-through and results
  • Flexibility as it relates to schedule, responsibilities and priorities

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR,SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Certification Strongly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting activities; post jobs, source resumes, write job ads/ job descriptions as needed; backup Recruiter and HR Coordinator as necessary
  • Evaluate recruitment processes; make recommendations and implement effective strategies, manage change when necessary
  • Attend weekly recruitment meetings; brain storm solutions to recruiting challenges
  • Send offer letters/new hire paperwork as needed
  • Assist with researching, creating, organizing and implementing pay scales
  • Process all HRIS maintenance (employee changes, terms, salary adjustments, etc.)
  • Create and send Semi-monthly payroll report of HRIS changes
  • Inform IT to terminate accounts
  • Send Employee Change Report every Friday to CFO
  • Produce HR reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual basis as needed
  • Serve as link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related issues
  • Research, develop and monitor strategies to reduce turnover and increase retention
  • Handle unemployment claims; act as point of contact for unemployment in all states
  • Research, coach, and counsel supervisors, Directors & above on employee relations issues
  • Assist with updating and revising the Employee Handbook & CVR Protocols as needed
  • Provide support on performance improvement/ disciplinary actions
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires in multiple states
  • Assist with exit interviews
  • Take the lead on HR projects, process improvements, trainings as assigned
  • Represent the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Assist with front desk and facility issues when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned
