About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for general clerical functions of the Human Resource (HR) Department for all Divisions of Ace Electric, Inc. and Ace Technologies, LLC. These duties include, but are not limited to, reception, processing onboarding paperwork, and filing.

  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions.
  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged sitting.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts reference or background checks on job applicants.
  • Process, track and maintain onboarding paperwork.
  • Assists employees with Benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using HR management system software and paper filing system.
  • Assist with new employee orientations.
  • Participates with special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
  • Provides reception and a high level of customer service to employees.
