Join us this summer in our Overland Park, KS office as an HR & Employee Experience Intern for our Summer Internship Program! Step into the behind-the-scenes world that keeps our agency running. As an HR & Employee Experience Intern, you will split your time between two core functions: On the Operations side you will be supporting both the in-office client and employee experience, from catering coordination and polished meeting spaces to internal communications, operational improvement projects, and team events. On the HR side, you will assist with people-focused initiatives that create a welcoming, organized, and professional workplace While primarily internal, this role offers meaningful insight into the client and employee experience within a professional services environment.

Requirements

  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Confident communicating in a clear and professional way, both in writing and conversation.
  • Detail-oriented and excited to learn more about workplace operations and Human Resources.
  • Interested in exploring careers in HR, communications, business administration, hospitality, or operations.
  • Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.

Responsibilities

  • Support both the Human Resources and OXO teams with daily coordination, administrative tasks, and special projects that enhance the employee and client experience.
  • Assist HR with employee engagement initiatives, including participation tracking, basic reporting, communications, onboarding touchpoints, and documentation that supports long-term retention strategy.
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts by helping create social-first, Gen Z-focused content that highlights workplace culture, early-career programs, mentorship, and the intern experience.
  • Provide a welcoming in-office experience by greeting visitors, supporting mail and supply logistics, and helping maintain polished conference rooms, cafés, and collaboration spaces.
  • Support internal communications, culture programming, and employee engagement activities, including newsletters, team events, and swag or recognition initiatives.
  • Assist with operational improvement projects such as documenting office standards, policies, playbooks, and other resources that strengthen global consistency and workplace readiness.
