The Director collaborates with leadership and across all departments to design, develop, and implement effective staffing strategies and to continuously improve Riverdale Y's service, employee engagement, and overall staff experience. The Director will lead human resources functions including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, terminations, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, benefits and leave administration. The Director also ensures the implementation of policies and procedures across the agency. This role is hands-on to manage staff feedback, grievances, and also provides full HR lifecycle support to union and non-union staff. Riverdale Y has approximately 58 full-time year-round employees and an additional 160 part-time and 35 seasonal employees throughout the year, mainly in the summer for camps.
