About The Position

As HR Director NA you will be responsible for leading the NA HR function in a dynamic, high-quality sales-driven environment. In this role, you act as both a strategic partner and hands-on expert, supporting our leadership team and employees across the employee life-cycle as a valuable and trustful business partner. You will play a key role in securing the culture, developing talent, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws as well as preparing the organization for future growth. Working as part of the NA Leadership team, this position will serve as a strategic thinker and sparring-partner for the peers. In close collaboration with the Head of Global HR, this individual will drive and support key initiatives aimed at optimizing current HR practices and shaping future organizational design and growth. This position requires a hands-on approach to daily operations combined with strategic thinking to support both regional and global development. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic HR leadership.

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience required; masters degree or advanced education, training, and/or certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant professional level experience (healthcare / life science industry preferred) incl. min. 5 years leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive HR service delivery experience, including a complete understanding of employee life-cycle management and hands on exposure to the full mix of HR tasks.
  • Commercial experience in a high-quality sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all parts of the employee life-cycle and being a business partner for the NA Photocure team.
  • Leadership and management of our NA colleague services organization and the day-to-day HR business.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for managers and employees by actively engaging in problem/conflict resolution, coaching, training and development.
  • Supporting performance culture and management in cooperation with the leadership (tackling performance issues).
  • Influence and shape the regional business strategy and operational planning.
  • Employee relationship management.
  • Identifying and implementing service and process improvements as needed.
  • Pro-active HR Communications; preparing and delivering employee communications.
  • Ensure compliance with North American labor law and regulations.
  • Manage HR policies, handbooks, and contracts in alignment with global standards
  • Close cooperation with the Head of Global HR, e.g. on organizational design & development, technological and skill development, state of the art deliveries, strategic HR projects and change management initiatives.
  • Cooperation on adjusting, maintenance and implementation of global HR strategy.
  • Support and further develop onboarding activities.
  • Develop and execute training initiatives.
  • Support building digital competence and digitalization of the HR function.
