About The Position

The HR Coordinator is a key member of the HR Support Services team, responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and customer-focused support throughout the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Lead, HR Support Services, this role handles a broad range of administrative tasks and service requests, including onboarding, employee changes, offboarding, records management, and Tier 1 HR inquiries. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional looking to grow within a collaborative, and fast-paced HR environment supporting 20,000+ employees across North America. Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Administration · Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, job changes, terminations, leaves of absence, time and absence, and employee status updates. · Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding logistics, such as background checks, new hire documentation, and systems access. · Support offboarding processes including exit logistics and system terminations. HR Systems & Data Management · Enter and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) system. · Perform regular audits of employee records to ensure data accuracy and compliance. · Generate reports or queries to support HR operations and compliance efforts. Employee Support & Service Delivery · Respond to employee and manager inquiries via phone, email, or case management system (e.g., Workday Help or ServiceNow) related to HR policies, procedures, and systems. · Escalate complex cases to the Lead, HR Support Services as necessary. · Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Process Improvement & Documentation · Assist in maintaining and updating HR SOPs, templates, and knowledge base articles. · Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience. · Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role, preferably in a high-volume or shared services environment.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on employee experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a decentralized, multi-jurisdictional environment (U.S. and Canada).
  • Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday, Dayforce (Ceridian), Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French (if supporting Canadian employees) is a plus.
