About The Position

Heart to Heart International improves healthcare access in the U.S. and around the world by ensuring quality care is provided equitably in medically under-resourced communities and in disaster situations. In everything we do, we work to broaden access to healthcare services and build capacity for health. The Human Resource Coordinator aids and facilitates human resource processes for all employees. The main function of this position will be to serve as the gatekeeper for all HR administrative functions.  and support across performance management, benefits, recruitment, and onboarding.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Must be discrete and handle all confidential information with care.

Responsibilities

  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Organizes all new hire orientation tasks.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process in our Performance Management System, WorkCompass.
  • Conducts the Initial screening on candidate interviews.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Maintains all employee files.
  • Serves as the primary gatekeeper for all HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now, ADP SAAS, WorkCompass, and Validity Screening.
  • Provides customer service to employees by responding to HR-related questions and system support requests.
  • Coordinates new hire onboarding tasks including orientation scheduling, system setup, paperwork, and training assignments.
  • Serves as a backup for screening and onboarding interns.
  • Conducts all new hire onboarding.
  • Assists with recruitment by screening candidates, tracking applicants in ADP, and coordinating interview scheduling and communication.
  • Processes employee terminations and offboarding tasks, ensuring all systems and records are updated accurately.
  • Supports benefits administration by assisting with employee questions, updating elections in HRIS, and coordinating new hire and termination notifications to benefit carriers.
  • Coordinates performance management processes in WorkCompass, including review setup, system troubleshooting, and tracking completion.
  • Maintains organized and compliant digital and physical employee files, and performs routine HRIS data audits.
  • Serves as a super-user for Docusign, recommending best practices and opportunities for advanced uses.
  • Coordinate logistics and communication for coffee hours and organizational gatherings.
  • Support the implementation of HHI’s staff recognition and appreciation plan.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
