About The Position

The North America team is currently looking for an HR Coordinator to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The HR Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Human Resources function at Grain & Protein Technologies. This role supports daily HR operations, assists with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) processes, delivers administrative and receptionist support, and helps ensure smooth and efficient workforce-related activities within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of HR, administrative, or office coordination experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting EHS programs
  • Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding, new-hire paperwork, orientation, and training coordination
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure document accuracy and compliance
  • Support recruitment activities, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communications
  • Assist with benefits administration, enrollment changes, and employee inquiries
  • Process HR transactions and data entry into HR systems
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and events
  • Support EHS documentation, training tracking, and recordkeeping
  • Assist with incident reporting and workers’ compensation documentation
  • Help with safety meetings, audits, and compliance tasks
  • Maintain safety supplies and regulatory postings
  • Maintain office systems, files, and supply inventory
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and leadership team
  • Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and employees
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Manage visitor logs and maintain the lobby area
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries
