About The Position

The HR Business Partner leads the human resources-relations functions at Air Culinaire Worldwide for their assigned employee population, partnering closely with other members the Human Resources Team, managers, and other stakeholders across the organization including but not limited to the legal team, the Executive Team, and other various departments. The HR Business Partner owns and leads assessing, creating, and delivering HR-related Manager Training, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Employee Morale, HR Legal Compliance in their assigned employee population. The Regional Human Resources Manager works to enhance and create consistency and alignment of the employee experience where appropriate across locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources with heavy employee relations experience.
  • Multi-state Human Resources experience with CA state specific HR experience.
  • HR related experience with a large hourly employee population.
  • HR related experience in the hospitality sector, such as food services industry, hotel, country club, etc.
  • Travel less than 25% of the year.
  • Verbal and Written Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to present information and work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of current federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, managing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in interpreting and applying policies to problems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHPR certification is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a trusted partnership with Managers in the assigned employee population
  • Provide Human Resources related support to assigned employee population, including but not limited to assisting managers with employee relations needs, performance management, employee coaching, investigations, analyzing data and trends to understand and ultimately reduce turnover, etc.
  • Manage HR related training by routinely assessing training needs, creating training content, and delivering training to both the employee and manager levels
  • Maintain applicable human resources related compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, continuously monitoring for new or updated legal and compliance requirement
  • Monitor employee engagement and morale, recommending opportunities for enhancements through team building events, recognition programs, Wellness Initiatives, etc.
  • Travel to locations within the assigned employee population on a regular basis
  • Review and recommend updates to policies, processes, employee offerings, etc. as needed to create alignment with the other US and Global companies within the corporate family, working in close partnership with the extended HR teams across the organization
  • Contribute to increasing efficiencies within the Human Resources team by reviewing established procedures for process improvement and system enhancement opportunities as well as creating and regularly updating process documentation
  • Partner with the Benefits and Leave Analyst on leave and accommodation needs within the assigned employee population as needed
  • Contribute to annual or special projects as needed, such as the annual performance review process, the annual base pay adjustment process, the annual bonus program process, internal or external audits, etc.
