About The Position

Sunshine Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support and elevate our people operations across the organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, overseeing the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, compliance, payroll partnership, and employee relations. The HRBP will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience aligned with our mission of compassionate behavioral healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, leave administration, and leadership advisory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain objectivity, tact, and diplomacy.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, from job description development to Day 1 onboarding.
  • Partner with leadership to identify hiring needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct candidate assessments, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Facilitate structured onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on HR, payroll, and time & attendance matters.
  • Manage progressive discipline processes and employment status changes.
  • Support leaders in coaching, documentation, and performance improvement planning.
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Administer and manage leave programs, including ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Oversee return-to-work programs and accommodations processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for benefits, personnel transactions, and government reporting.
  • Research competitive practices and recommend HR best practices to leadership.
  • Support organizational growth through data-driven insights and workforce analytics.
