About The Position

Compana Pet Brands is a global leader in pet care and nutrition dedicated to enriching the lives of pets and their families today and for generations to come. We are actively seeking an HR Business Partner to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love! This role’s primary responsibility will be to provide strategic HR support to our leaders and employees to assist in the development, growth and performance of our teams and the achievement of business objectives. This role will focus on operational excellence, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention.

Requirements

• Effectively communicate in English, in both verbal and written forms
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant HR Generalist, HR Business Partner experience
• Solid understanding of multiple human resource fields, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
• Champion company culture and management practices within the organization.
• Collaborating with business leaders to solve complex organizational challenges with a focus on developing and executing strategies to help attract, engage, and retain top talent.
• Educating, coaching and partnering with managers to help career growth and build management talent, including topics such as HR policies, coaching and counseling techniques, progressive disciplinary process, team member development goals, performance management, etc.
• Consulting and guiding Managers on important HR initiatives. This can include talent management activities, succession planning, staffing needs assessments, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, training, etc.
• Supporting hiring managers and partner with the recruiting team in hiring process. Helping to ensure candidate qualifications and equitable pay requirements are met.
• Partnering with leaders to analyze turnover data and create effective retention plans. Assessing plans on an ongoing basis to ensure success and make changes as needed.
• Advising in the resolution of team member relations issues. While also partnering with Managers, Safety, and Legal on issues that pose significant risk to Compana.
• Maintaining an expert level of knowledge of federal and State employment laws to support reducing legal risks and ensure compliance. This can include partnering with Legal team as needed.
