About The Position

The HR Business Partner US plays a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with the business objectives of our utilities organization across the United States. This position serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expert guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development to drive business performance. The role involves collaborating closely with various departments to implement HR initiatives that support operational efficiency, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Business Partner will also lead change management efforts and foster a culture of continuous improvement and inclusion. Ultimately, this position ensures that HR practices contribute to the sustainable growth and success of the company within the dynamic utilities sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR business partnering or a similar strategic HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of US labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or an MBA.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with unionized work environments and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proven experience working within the utilities or energy sector is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic goals and develop HR solutions that support these objectives.
  • Provide coaching and consultation on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive talent acquisition strategies and workforce planning to meet current and future business needs.
  • Lead initiatives related to organizational design, employee engagement, and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all US operations.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve HR service delivery.
  • Facilitate change management processes to support business transformation and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement best practices and innovative HR programs.
