The Role CAA is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join its HR team. The HRBP is both a strategic and execution role responsible for working with the business leaders it supports to understand current and future priorities and building and deploying tools and processes. The HRBP ensures the business has the necessary skills, structures and processes to achieve talent strategic goals. In this capacity, the HRBP will need deep expertise in multiple of the following areas: coaching senior leaders, talent management/succession planning, inclusion and diversity, career development tools, employee relations, organizational design, etc. In addition, the HRBP will be responsible for all day-to-day human resources needs across multiple disciplines and will have at least one direct report.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as an Human Resources Business Partner in progressively more responsible leadership roles
  • Proven track record of people leadership
  • Ability to partner with, coach, challenge & influence senior business leaders
  • Proficiency at translating business priorities into bespoke talent strategies with practical implementation plans
  • Proven capability to partner with the resources in Centers of Excellence to design tools and processes that drive business outcomes
  • Partner closely with Recruiting to ensure uniform understanding of capabilities required for jobs, workforce forecasting, and talent identification
  • Ability to deliver results in a highly dynamic and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to build relationships and influence in a manner that drive results at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Proven organizational skills – be willing to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
  • Strong consulting, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in OD, HR or related discipline preferred
  • Experience in at least two HR CoEs preferred
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) is a plus
  • ICF coaching certification
  • Entertainment industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides HR guidance when appropriate to a population of hourly and professional employees and provides direct HRBP partnership to the management team and group leader
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with Department Head to develop talent solutions and programs to help clients design effective, bespoke talent strategies aligned to talent strategy
  • Recommends organizational development interventions and partners with L&D to design and facilitate live interventions
  • Presents org health dashboards to group leader and tracks progress to ensure talent strategy effectiveness
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance and effectively partners with the legal department as required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management and partners with internal HR team and Sr. HRBP as needed to support business need
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation as needed
  • Provides guidance and input on workforce and succession planning in partnership with Sr. HRBP
  • Support and maintain the employee engagement programs and initiatives that support CAA’s organizational goals and culture
  • Develop and communicate positive employee relations strategies and retention initiatives that foster and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Responsible for ensuring content consistency of messages and alignment to overall company and HR strategy
  • Research and work with management and other departments to build employee engagement initiatives
  • Serve as project point person on specific HRBP projects and initiatives
  • Supervises an HR Assistant and potentially HRBP Specialist(s)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
