About The Position

Assist the Director of Human Resources in administration, payroll, Workers’ Compensation, employee data collection, processing, and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to two years of general business or hospitality industry experience, preferably in a human resources office.
  • General knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices.
  • Skills in database management, record keeping, and filing.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality – A MUST.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the administration of benefits and HR programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role during emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the club’s personnel files.
  • Assists with selected recruitment and selection activities.
  • Prepares internal and external position vacancy advertisements and announcements, including social media ads, the club’s website, club industry Internet job boards and college career services offices.
  • Sorts and reviews résumés as they arrive. Manages the flow of applications and recruiting on Indeed and other job boards.
  • Schedules New Hire Onboarding and Conducts New Hire Orientation.
  • Plans and conducts applicable club-wide benefits orientations and assists with the Director on All-Employee Meetings.
  • Processes enrollments, changes, and terminations of participants in all benefit plans and programs.
  • Assists employees with any benefit claim issues or concerns.
  • Updates content on the human resources page of the club’s website and Employee TV in Café.
  • Assists in the development of the employee handbook.
  • Follows all standards required by all applicable federal, state and other laws and regulations, and files all compliance reports with the respective federal and state agencies.
  • Completes special project tasks assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
