About The Position

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented HR Assistant looking for a new opportunity? The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources team in a variety of functions, with a strong focus on administrative excellence, collaboration, and data accuracy. This role reports directly to the Director of Payroll & Benefits and will assist across HRBP functions, training administration, onboarding coordination, and broader HR support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Payroll and Benefits Administration: Support day-to-day HR operations including associate communication, file/document management, and HRIS data entry. Partner with the Director of Payroll & Benefits and HRBPs to support internal movement, PAF processing, job changes, and compensation updates. Provide administrative support to the Training & Workforce Development team, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and updating training records. Coordinate and monitor completion of commission letters, bonus plans, handbook acknowledgments, and other required documents. Maintain accurate associate files and documentation (digital and physical). Human Resources Administration: Prepare new hire folders and materials prior to start date. Set up workspace coordination, equipment pickup, and orientation supplies. Coordinate welcome emails, parking info, and schedule details. Greet new hires on Day One and provide a warm, organized introduction. Ensure I-9, E-Verify, direct deposit, handbook acknowledgment, and other onboarding documentation are completed and submitted. Enter new hire data into HRIS (Paycom) accurately and on time. Assist with the annual commission and bonus plan release Act as the Administrator for the Brady Cares Team. Training and Development: Create and maintain courses, rosters, learning paths, and reporting in all platforms. Track overdue assignments and assist associates with LMS navigation. Produce training reports and compliance dashboards. Oversea Travel accommodations for Technicians as needed. Other: Strong attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills and exceptional writing and editing skills Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, sorting/filtering).
  • Familiarity with Paycom or another major HRIS platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Previous experience with Human Resource Information System(s) and Payroll software strongly preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting HRBP or Benefits/Training functions in a field-based environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Asana, and DocuSign.
  • Exposure to recruiting, performance management, or orientation planning is a plus.
