About The Position

The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department by assisting with recruiting, hiring, and new-hire onboarding processes. This role helps ensure a smooth, timely, and compliant experience for candidates and new employees, while providing administrative support to the HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with posting open positions to job boards and internal platforms
  • Review applications and route candidates to appropriate hiring managers
  • Schedule phone screens, interviews, and follow-up communications
  • Communicate with candidates regarding next steps, interview logistics, and hiring status
  • Maintain applicant tracking records and ensure timely updates
  • Coordinate and schedule new-hire orientations
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding paperwork and new-hire packets
  • Ensure completion of required pre-employment and onboarding documentation
  • Assist with I-9 processing and new-hire compliance requirements
  • Support new employees during their first days and answer basic HR questions
  • Maintain accurate employee and applicant records in the HRIS
  • Assist with data entry, document tracking, and filing
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
