About The Position

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Chief of Staff at a fast growing startup. The role will be focused on helping with HR function with day-to-day administrative work, tracking, and coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping systems clean, tasks moving, and projects organized behind the scenes. You’ll help ensure HR operations run smoothly by managing task lists, tracking data, supporting HR projects, and keeping documentation and workflows up to date.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR coordination, HR administration, operations, or an assistant role
  • Strong organizational and task management skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, and internal tools
  • Detail-oriented and reliable with follow-through
  • Clear written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams without constant direction

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a Chief of Staff, HR lead, or operations leader
  • Familiarity with HRIS tools, ATS platforms, or compliance workflows
  • Startup or fast-growing company experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update HR task lists, timelines, and recurring reminders
  • Keep HR documentation organized
  • Support onboarding and offboarding logistics and checklists
  • Help ensure HR processes are followed consistently and on time
  • Track HR-related data
  • Maintain internal trackers and spreadsheets
  • Assist with pulling simple reports and summaries for leadership
  • Support ongoing HR projects (policy updates, benefits research, compliance initiatives, internal programs)
  • Track project progress, deadlines, and action items
  • Follow up on open items and flag blockers or risks
  • Coordinate with recruiting, finance, and operations as needed
  • Schedule meetings, take notes, and document next steps when required
  • Act as a point of execution to keep HR initiatives moving
