Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This role plays an important part in supporting OOD’s mission to empower Ohioans with disabilities through employment, independence, and accessibility. By ensuring accurate payroll and benefits administration, you will help our employees focus on delivering impactful services to the individuals we serve. In this position, you will manage a variety of human resources functions within the Employee Payroll & Benefits Support unit. Your responsibilities will include tracking and processing leave programs such as workers’ compensation, caregiver, military, and adoption/childbirth leave. You will monitor and certify Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims, advise employees on related policies, and conduct audits to ensure compliance. Using tools like Cognos and Excel, you will analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate with employees and managers regarding personnel actions and verification notices. Additionally, you will process payroll for the entire agency, research and resolve payroll issues, and maintain accurate records in systems such as OAKS, UKG Pro, and OnBase. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of human relations, government processes, and employment laws, including FMLA. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and general office equipment are essential. You should be able to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions, as well as handle sensitive inquiries with professionalism.
