About The Position

The HR Advisor provides day‑to‑day HR support across the employee lifecycle, advising managers and supervisors on employee relations, recruitment, and performance management. The role also supports the HR team with payroll, benefits, and compliance activities, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, alignment with employment laws, and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
  • Hands‑on, operational experience across core Human Resources functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven experience working with HRIS systems (including ADP Workforce Now), ATS, payroll, and timekeeping platforms.
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and employment compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws, including wage and hour regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including analysis and reconciliation of HR, payroll, and benefits data, with working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel periodically to other company locations and attend off-site events.
  • This role requires frequent walking across the office and operational areas, prolonged sitting, regular computer use, and occasional standing and lifting of minimal weight.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner by advising and coaching managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and sensitive workplace issues, exercising sound judgment and discretion to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, assess findings, and recommend outcomes in alignment with company policy and applicable employment laws.
  • Interpret and apply federal, multi-state (including California), and local employment laws, advising on compliance requirements and escalating complex or high‑risk matters as appropriate.
  • Process and audit bi-weekly payroll, applying knowledge of wage and hour laws to ensure compliance, validate data accuracy, and resolve discrepancies in partnership with payroll providers.
  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing strategy, candidate evaluation, interview coordination, selection decisions, offer administration, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines and external partnerships to support ongoing and evolving organizational hiring needs.
  • Administer benefits, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation programs, including eligibility, compliance, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure and maintain data integrity across HRIS, ATS, payroll, and timekeeping systems; identify and resolve discrepancies and systemic issues.
  • Utilize Excel and HR systems to analyze HR and benefits data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and monitor compliance risks related to employment practices, safety, and employee relations, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Support and facilitate HR‑related training for managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes, compliance, and the overall employee experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
