About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the daily functions of our HR department. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of verifiable HR assistant experience, a working knowledge of employment law and confidentiality protocols. Experience with HRIS systems such as Paycom is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent, verifiable experience as an HR assistant or similar role
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or actively pursuing HR-related education is a plus
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, short-term disability, and general HR confidentiality protocols
  • Experience using HRIS software (Paycom strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of basic HR principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and New Hire Orientation Coordinate pre-employment paperwork, background checks, and license verifications
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Benefits Administration Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit programs, including health insurance
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and troubleshooting benefit-related issues
  • Track FMLA and leave-of-absence requests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws
  • HR Operations Support Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both digital and physical
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
  • Input and update employee information into HRIS systems such as Paycom Employee Support Answer employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Help ensure a positive and confidential employee experience throughout their employment
  • Administrative Tasks Prepare employment verification letters and other HR correspondence
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and general administrative duties as needed
  • Maintaining HR files
