About The Position

Major Drilling is looking for someone that provides frontline reception support while assisting with day‑to-day Human Resources operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will represent the company professionally at the front desk while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in HR administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Professional and positive demeanor; strong customer service orientation.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Willingness to assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail; and
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to support team-based work.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior HR or administrative experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality related to recruiting, training, and Human Resource issues.
  • Enter new hire information in the human resource databases (ADP).
  • Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring activities.
  • Assist with benefits administration.
  • Complete employee verification forms.
  • Complete background verifications for applicants.
  • Provide administrative support for department personnel including file upkeep of Personnel, I-9, EEO, and Medical Files.
  • Greet and welcome visitors; provide professional customer service in person and on the phone.
  • Manage incoming calls, route inquiries, and take messages as needed.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Manage conference room scheduling.
  • Provide general administrative support (copying, scanning, document organization).
  • Assist with office supply inventory and ordering.
  • Other duties as assigned.
