About The Position

We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our People & Culture department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative work, thrives on accuracy and follow-through, and takes pride in supporting employees through important life and workplace events. You’ll play a key role in keeping HR processes compliant, organized, and employee-focused—particularly around leave administration, workers’ compensation documentation, and regulatory tracking.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of administrative experience; HR, leave administration, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, workers’ compensation, and employee leave processes preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional, approachable, and service-oriented communication style
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, directing inquiries appropriately
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires, including paperwork, I-9s, and system setup
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential employee files (paper and electronic)
  • Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with job postings
  • Administer and track FMLA, ADA, and other leave-related documentation, ensuring timely paperwork, notices, and recordkeeping
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims administration, including incident documentation, claim reporting, follow-ups, and coordination with managers, insurance carriers, and medical providers
  • Track employee acknowledgements, policy sign-offs, certifications, and compliance-related documentation
  • Help coordinate training sessions, meetings, and employee communications
  • Assist with employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and internal communications
  • Support benefits administration tasks, including documentation, employee questions, and open enrollment preparation
  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, reporting, filing, calendar management, and correspondence
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all employee-related matters
