About The Position

Transdev in Las Vegas, Paratransit Team is hiring a highly professional HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a high level of discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to interact professionally with employees, management, customers, and external partners. This role supports a high-volume HR department and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The HR Assistant will also provide clerical and administrative support to other managers within the organization as needed. Transdev is proud to offer: Competitive compensation package of minimum: $21.00 to maximum $24.00

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of administrative or HR support experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills when interacting with employees, customers, and external contacts.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls from employees and candidates and direct them to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, send invitations, and follow up on action items.
  • Receive, date-stamp, and distribute incoming mail; assist with large mailings as needed.
  • Send certified mail for final checks, employee notices, and other HR correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
  • Scan, copy, print, and manage document processing as needed.
  • Enter, update, retrieve, and verify data within HR systems and electronic files.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Create, maintain, and ensure the confidentiality of employee personnel files.
  • Prepare new hire personnel files and ensure I-9 compliance.
  • Receive and track benefit premium payments for employees on LOA/FMLA.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling for operators and other open positions.
  • Schedule employee relations meetings between employees and HR.
  • Prepare and submit Employee Action Forms (EAFs), including terminations, pay rate changes, and other employee updates.
  • Perform administrative tasks in compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
