About The Position

Probst Electric is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrative and Onboarding Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires, supporting both administrative processes and employee engagement from offer acceptance through Day One. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • HR certification
  • Experience in utility construction or similar industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding tasks, including pre-employment screenings, background checks, and paperwork completion.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of new employee data into HR systems (e.g., JD Edwards, iCIMS).
  • Communicate with new hires to guide them through onboarding steps and resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to confirm start dates and ensure readiness for Day One.
  • Prepare and organize onboarding documentation and employee files in compliance with company SOPs.
  • Support HR Director and HR team with administrative needs and department priorities.
  • Coordinate department meetings, including scheduling, agenda prep, and follow‑up on action items.
  • Manage and track HR department projects, ensuring progress updates, timelines, and completion of deliverables.
  • Support HR projects related to onboarding improvements and employee experience initiatives.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity of HR records at all times.
