About The Position

Introduction Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this part-time HR/Accounting Specialist position. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be onsite in Longwood, FL. Scope of Work HR Responsibilities: Recruiting & Staffing: Identify hiring needs, source and interview candidates, and manage the selection process to attract best candidates. Responsible for the process of weeding through applicants. Make sure all new hire documents, (including all agreements, legal forms and background checks) are filled out properly so that their first day and following days are successful Onboarding & Training: Facilitate new hire orientations and develop ongoing necessary training programs to improve employee performance and to keep employees properly certified and compliant. Administering health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, etc. Employee Relations: Mediate workplace disputes, conduct investigations, and manage disciplinary actions to foster a positive environment Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state and local labor laws, including OSHA safety standards, and EEO regulations Payroll & Record Keeping: Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and maintain confidential employee records required by law. Includes deducting taxes, collecting total hours, reimbursing expenses, etc. Maintaining Employee Records Accounting Responsibilities: Maintain financial records, prepares financial statements (profit and loss; balance sheets); Manage accounts payables/accounts receivables; reconcile ledgers, ensures tax and regulatory compliance and analyzes financial data to support business decisions, playing a key role in overall financial health and reporting. Accumulate and pays sales taxes to required states. Handle daily transactions (i.e., writes checks, handles invoices and credit card transactions, takes care of payroll, etc.), monitors cash flow and provides insights to management. Record daily transactions, maintain a balanced general ledger and manage subsidiary accounts. Reconcile bank statements, general ledger entries, and other accounts. Oversee processing of invoices, payments and receipts.
