About The Position

The housekeeping supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Housekeeping department.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• College degree or equivalent work experience related to supervision or business

Responsibilities

• Assign work areas on a daily basis and rotate consistently
• Interview, hire, and train team members
• Appraise performance; reward and make recommendation for discipline of team members and handle team member complaints
• Maintain accurate departmental records
• Recommend methods for improving operational efficiencies handle employee complaints
• Inspect the work areas during the shift several times to ensure that areas are meeting HCA standards and that productivity levels are being met
• Ensure that team members use chemicals appropriately
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
• Ensure the J-closets are maintained in an organized manner
• Handle requests from other departments that pertain to housekeeping
• Inspect areas at end of shift to ensure that all work meets department standards
• Clean up bio-hazard spills
• Complete key request forms
• Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service, equipment and take corrective action
• Ensure the proper function and education is in place for all equipment and chemicals used in the Housekeeping operation
• Establish and maintain adherence to departmental controls to guard against theft and waste
