About The Position

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Assistant Manager(s), the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. This position is dependent on both teamwork and a solid foundation based with the mechanical hour capacity and productivity reports and ownership of processes a must for development. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour. Qualifications: High School graduate, or equivalent, is preferred. Previous Supervisory or Management experience of one year is preferred. Must work both independently and in a team environment. Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations required. Must be able to pass a background check. Expectations & Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. Directs and assures the completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants and house persons while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. Utilize the radio system and RGuest Service via a tablet to accept requests and pass along information to room attendants, as well as to receive updates from other departments. Assist guests as needed and work in a strong, team environment. Basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of customer needs that would be outlined each morning in Pre-Shift. Needs to have an aptitude to promote minimum levels of skills and abilities that would create a positive outcome, in a hot or challenging work environment. Establishes and maintains a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations that would protect both the employee and coworkers. Follows directions and performs tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through. Ability to work well as part of a team is imperative; set up and organize workstation with designated supplies and equipment. Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift. Report any faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safely hazards and other problems immediately to the manager on duty. Must be able to motivate by example either on the production floor or in a classroom environment. Restock work areas for the next shift, as assigned. Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort. All other duties, as assigned. Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances. Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements. Ability to reach, bend, lift, and carry furniture and equipment. Requirements
