About The Position

Job Description • Coordinates the work of team members. • Develops and maintains scheduling of staff to meet and/or exceed department service requirements. • Resolves problems or refers matter to supervisor/manager. • Observes and documents team member’s guest service and technical performance. • Trains team members on departmental policies and procedures and documents the training. • Assists with ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed. • Ensures staff is aware of marketing promotions and changes related to Viejas Enterprises, policies and procedures. • Maintains all equipment in good working order and available for use. • Maintains professional demeanor and communication. • Maintains consistent attendance, punctuality and appearance that contribute to a high level of team performance and guest service. • Responds in a timely manner to trouble calls such as issues, leaks, lights, parking issues, etc • Empties trash cans throughout the parking structures, lots and guest areas. • Maintains casino floor, parking structures, lots and guest areas free of debris and trash. • Uses appropriate equipment for cleaning projects such as Scrubber machines or ICE machines. • Documents call incidents as appropriate. • Attends training classes required. • Understands and practices good safety and sanitation procedures. • Always handles cleaning chemicals as directed using proper formula for their safe use. Refrains from depositing harmful products into sewage system. • Ensures a clean, safe, hazard-free environment is maintained. • Abide by cleanliness, sanitation, and organization standards of work areas; rectify any deficiencies • Practice safe lifting and transporting procedures and adhere to all safety regulations • Display a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests and fellow team members • Actively listen and immediately respond to all guest inquiries • Notifies Security of any guest reports of theft or accidents. • Understands and practices emergency procedures for handling bomb threats, medical emergency, evacuation, and emergency contact. • Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines • Performs other duties as assigned. • A working lead, assisting with training, assigning tasks, and monitoring work performance of team members. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Valid Driver’s License Required. • Clean Driving Record Required. • Possesses or acquires cart certification. • 1 or more years of related experience and/or training preferred. • Experience working with floor scrubbers preferred. • Must be age 21 years of age or older. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Demonstrated strong guest service skills, including enthusiastic, energetic, professional, friendly and courteous behavior at all times. • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and values teamwork. • Ability to lead and mentor a team. • Ability to resolve problems efficiently and effectively. • Ability to work with diverse personalities and environment. • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment • Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude. • Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change. • Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates. 85% of our Management Team have been promoted from within On our most recent Engagement Survey, 82% of our Team Members expressed that they were grateful to work at Viejas 40% of our Team Members have worked for us for more than 5 years and 23% for more than 10 years San Diego's Premier Gaming Resort, Viejas Casino & Resort is a AAA Four Diamond Award recipient since 2013.
