About The Position

The Housekeeping Lead plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the hotel meets both brand standards and guest expectations. This position supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations while leading by example on the floor. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team success

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations across housekeeping and laundry
  • Lead by example by actively cleaning rooms and assisting the team as needed
  • Conduct detailed room inspections to ensure Marriott brand standards are met
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new associates
  • Support scheduling, coaching, and performance management of team members
  • Maintain proper key control procedures and ensure compliance at all times
  • Monitor and manage Lost & Found processes in accordance with policy
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, storage, and office spaces
  • Maintain inventory levels of linens, uniforms, guest supplies, and cleaning materials
  • Assist in executing and maintaining the hotel’s deep cleaning program
  • Complete and review required reports accurately and on time
  • Review and approve weekly timecards for accuracy in Paylocity
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
  • Work Environment & Expectations
  • Full-time role requiring flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
  • Must be dependable with strong attendance, as hotel operations run 24/7
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 lbs)
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and moderate noise levels
  • Expected to maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
  • Must demonstrate teamwork and support all departments as needed
