About The Position

The Housekeeping Inspector reviews and inspects housekeeping and designated areas to ensure a positive guest experience. Responsible for providing high attention to detail and focusing on guest impact related to property standards.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning materials, and equipment
  • Ability to supervise and work with employees
  • Ability and willingness to respond to emergencies
  • Tact and resourcefulness in dealing with the public
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective Leadership Practices
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of experience in housekeeping in the hospitality industry

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect rooms, verifying that designated areas exceed the standard, report status, and may report or update the system to ensure areas are guest-ready.
  • Provides assistance in housekeeping, laundry, and houseman departments, including coaching, staff development, process improvements, and work support
  • Assists in training new hires in housekeeping, houseman, and laundry departments.
  • Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
  • Responds to guest requests in a professional, timely, and friendly manner.
  • Examines the building to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management
  • Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
