About The Position

Provides superlative service to Standard Meat Company in performing all housekeeping duties. Performs all duties in an honest and safe manner; delivers quality, efficient, and courteous service. This position is responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the property so that property is maintained in a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying condition for the employees and public. The housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of unsanitary conditions and odors.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of housekeeping experience.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 - 40 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
  • Able to grasp with hands
  • Reach with hands and arms

Responsibilities

  • Inventory, order and stock the laundry room with all needed equipment and supplies per guidelines provided.
  • Provides information on any missing items to the manager.
  • Handles various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
  • Complies with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
  • Daily maintenance of break-room, including tables, chairs, microwaves, refrigerators, lunch box racks.
  • Clean building floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Responsible for gathering and disposal of trash.
  • Clean furniture and fixtures in the main offices.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Polish floors.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Cleans restroom daily: wash sinks, mirrors, commodes, counter tops, and urinals
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and ladders to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
  • Carry toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts or by hand as needed.
  • Reports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, etc.).
  • Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services
  • Maintains assigned equipment in a good working condition
  • Must be flexible to working overtime and weekends
  • Good attendance is a must
  • Other duties as assigned
